MK vs MKC Series – What’s the Difference?
While the MK and MKC single-phase motor series share the same foundational strengths—such as aluminium housing, IP55 protection, and permanent capacitor operation—their designs reflect different priorities:
-
MK Series begins at frame size IEC 71 and is engineered with a higher starting torque, making it ideal for demanding or complex applications requiring extra breakaway force. It features a natural unpainted aluminium housing, offering a distinctive clean look.
-
MKC Series, by contrast, starts from IEC 56 and includes removable feet and a reversible terminal box, offering greater flexibility for tight or custom installations. MKC models are also available in 2-, 4-, and 6-pole versions, whereas MK motors follow the more typical single-phase pole range.
Each series is tailored to different installation needs—MK where performance under load is critical, and MKC where space, mounting, or modularity are key.
