User Experience

The V6 starter features an intuitive user interface that simplifies setup and operation. Its LCD screen displays critical information such as motor status, temperature, current, and more. The buttons and menus are straightforward and easy to navigate, even for inexperienced users.

Reliability

Equipped with a comprehensive range of protective features, the V6 ensures maximum safety for both the motor and the starter itself. These protections include overload, overtemperature, short-circuit, and ground fault protection, among others. Additionally, the V6 can continue operating with a damaged phase, if necessary, to prevent unplanned downtime.

Versatility

Thanks to its wide current range (16–1250 A), the V6 is suitable for a broad variety of motors and applications. It includes advanced functions such as adaptive control, pump cleaning, DC braking, reverse direction, and more, making it ideal for complex pump control and other demanding uses.

Communication

The V6 is compatible with multiple standard communication protocols, enabling seamless integration with any monitoring and control system, including Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, Profibus, Profinet, DeviceNet, and Ethernet/IP.

Efficiency

All V6 starters feature an integrated bypass, ensuring a permanent operating efficiency of over 99%. Multiple start and stop options help to maximize efficiency throughout operation.

Pumping Applications

For pressure-controlled pumping applications, the V6 offers a SmartPump expansion card, providing additional dedicated digital and analog I/O, specifically tailored for pumping systems.

General Introduction

The KQR series liquid resistance starter is an advanced motor starting control device designed to improve the starting performance of large and medium-sized wound rotor motors.
By connecting a liquid resistor to the rotor winding, the starter provides automatic, stepless starting, dynamically adjusting the starting current over a scheduled time to ensure smooth motor acceleration under optimized current conditions.

This system effectively protects the motor, connected equipment, and the power supply network.
Compared to traditional starters, the KQR series offers significant advantages, including:

  • Lower starting current
  • Energy savings
  • Reduced mechanical and electrical impact

It is especially suited for heavy-duty and overload starting applications. Furthermore, the KQR starter enables smooth starts even under reduced power line voltages, lowering transformer capacity requirements.
